Terms & Conditions

Domaine requires a credit card authorization form to be completed prior to purchasing any goods or services. This helps us to protect the purchaser, our valued customer, from credit card fraud. Domaine will keep all information entered on this form strictly confidential.

Quotes - Quotes will be valid for 30 days. Prices are subject to change at manufacturers discretion.

When placing an order with Domaine the client is advised to ensure all specifications (i.e. finishes, fabrics/leathers, dimensions, schematics etc.) are correct on the sales order/invoice. For leather product: Domaine highly recommends ordering a CFA (Cutting for Approval), as leather is a natural product and can vary. Domaine is not responsible for 3rd party design trade recommendations and product specifications for their clients. The recommendations made by our in-house Domaine design team are based upon client needs and spatial requirements. The final selections are ultimately the clients’ decision.

All special orders require a 50% deposit. No cancellations or returns on any special orders. No changes on orders are accepted once order has been placed.

All goods are under the ownership of Domaine until paid in full. Final balance due before delivery has been scheduled. Domaine accepts payment in the form of cheque or debit, MasterCard, VISA & AMEX.

We accept payment in the form of cheque or debit, MasterCard, VISA, or AMEX. Credit card payments over $10,000.00 will be charged a fee of 3%. 3% fee is waived if remaining deposit & balance (over first $10,000) is paid via cheque, bank draft or e-transfer.

All sale items are final sale. Sale items are sold ‘as is’ in the condition that they were presented. Regular priced stock purchases can be returned only if they are in the same condition they were delivered in within 3 business days after delivery date with store credit only, no refunds. No returns on bedding. Due to hygienic reasons, we do not accept returns on sofa beds, or mattresses of any kind.

Our furniture pieces are often made by hand, with the utmost care, however, no piece of furniture will ever be perfect. Domaine is not responsible for naturally occurring variances in wood, leather, fabric and craftsmanship, as these differences are part of the unique characteristics of each product.

No two pieces of furniture will be identical, and a variation of an inch or more is not uncommon and not considered a defect. All manufacturers’ warranties & disclaimers apply. Warranty documentation is available upon request. Items not covered under any manufacturers’ warranties include and are not limited to negligence, fabrics, ordinary wear, improper cleaning, public use, abuse or acts of nature. Regular care and maintenance to extend the life and look of the product is highly recommended. Specific care instructions are available from Domaine upon request. Domaine strongly recommends fabric protection or furniture protection plans. Domaine is not responsible for manufacturer or shipping delays (i.e. productivity, materials not in stock, etc.).  The manufacturer will process your order in the order it was received. Lead times given are approximate and may take more or less time for production and/or shipping.  Domaine cannot guarantee exact arrival times.

Special note about upholstery and cushions: With regular use of upholstered furniture in leather and fabrics, there will be some degree of stretching in their lifetime. The amount of puddling (leather) or comfort wrinkling (fabric) depends on many factors, such as how thick or thin the leather or fabric is, the design of the cushions (ie. bench cushions will puddle or wrinkle more than a smaller width cushion), the fill of the cushion (down filled cushions require more fluffing and maintenance than a foam filled cushion). Puddling or comfort wrinkling occurs as you sit and use your upholstered furniture, these natural occurrences are not considered defects, but signs of normal wear. Regular smoothing, fluffing, unzipping of cushion casings to run your hand along the inside to even out the fill may be required. No upholstered piece will ever be free of wrinkles, or the cushion fill texture being seen through the upholstery casing.

Carpet orders: Colour dye lots are subject to vary due to natural quality of silk and wool fibers. Sample art/carpet is required for customer review and approval prior to production. Because carpets are handmade, natural irregularities, lines, weave and striations may appear in the carpet. These are inherent characteristics of hand tufted/knotted carpets and are not considered manufacturing defects. Carpet underlay is strongly recommended to ensure longevity of all area carpets. Variation of an inch or more is not uncommon and not considered a defect.

Domaine Design Services: Domaine Design Services STEP 1 initial in-home Interior Design consultation fee non-refundable. STEP 2 Design fees are established based on the scope of work, amount of/travel time to site visits and in-house meetings. Non-refundable. Additional design work required and requested by client outside of the initial approved design summary will be subject to a new design fee proposal.
